Next there are network connections. To get the most out of the Xbox 360 you need a broadband connection, since not only can you download game extras and demos, you can play online. And this is possible with every Xbox 360 game, it is a requirement. The Xbox 360 has an Ethernet connection built in, but you can buy a wireless adapter accessory. It is on the expensive side, but it depends on how desperate you are to eliminate wire clutter. Also, your modem could be somewhere else in your house so a wireless adapter would be a must.

Last but not least is the faceplates. As far as I know this is a first in the console industry, giving you the freedom to choose any look you like and simply clip it on. People have been modifying computers for a while now, and it has recently caught on to consoles, and it seems Microsoft have noticed this. I expect promotional faceplates to be released with big games.

So, there you have it. It seems Microsoft have everything you need to customise your console to your needs, now we have to see if Sony can keep up.
