a) Builds up heat
b) Cooling fans can be noisy
c) Heavy
d) Image degrades over time faster than LCD/CRT
e) At 30,000 measures at 50% quality
f) Once dead, it’s dead
g) Expensive
h) No recharging of gas
i) Burn In

Well, there’s the terrible truth about plasma TV’s. Now if I could take a moment here to just mention that no matter WHAT someone tells you there is NO POSSIBLE WAY to “recharge” a plasma or “refill” the gas inside. Once these things go, they’re pretty much gone. Another thing, burn-in on these things has been exaggerated just a bit. Yes it happens, and yes it sucks but it’s not a guaranteed thing. HOWEVER, I wouldn’t use one for a computer monitor and since that’s what we’re discussing here, I’d recommend just slipping by Plasma and moving on a bit farther.
