Logitech has released a new line of G-series devices.

Logitech has released a new line of G-series devices. The G9 is the latest in the award winning Laser Mouse series. The G9 reportedly "takes customization to the extreme", allowing PC gamers to modify nearly every part of the mouse to their own personal fit, feel and performance.

Initially, leaked photos of early development versions of the mouse were dubbed fakes by the community. However, now that the mouse has been officially unveiled, we know now that the leaked photos were in fact legitimate. They were merely an earlier version of the mouse during the development phase. Some of the features of the new hardware include:

G9 Mouse

  • Customizable weight tuning
  • Range of LED colors
  • Two interchangeable grips: Wide-load and precision grip
  • 3200dpi
  • Full-speed USB connection
  • 1,000 reports per second
  • MicroGear Precision Scroll Wheel (from the MX Revolution)

The Wide-Load grip provides a fuller shape and soft-touch, satin feel, while the Precision grip’s DryGrip technology and compact shape offer fingertip control and a surer handle for any hand. Logitech expects to offer additional grips at a later date.

G15 Keyboard (revamped)

  • Support for popular games
  • Public SDK
  • Six macro keys, fully programmable with three modes
  • Two built-in USB ports
  • Backlighted keys
  • Game mode switch to disable the Windows key
