Apple has registered a patent for a new touchpad which extends the entire width of the notebook. This will likely be on of several new features in the upcoming MacBook revision. The patent is not the first of recent days to be registered by Apple. A similar patent was found not long ago which involved a multi-touch input device that knows where on the touchpad the user is pressing, and also with how much pressure.
