The new ATI Radeon HD 3870 X2 kicks benchmarks asses, hopes to make NVidia weep.
It's what we've all been waiting for ladies and gentlemen. A videocard that does "beyond 1080p". Okay, so you probably don't care much for that (knowing a monitor that does 1080p costs aplenty), but this dual GPU...GPU pumps out over a teraflop of processing power. That's pretty amazing.
AMD also assures us that it is compatible with CrossfireX with up to four GPU's, meaning you could theoretically get over 4 teraflops. It would cost you some of that life insurance policy, but hey, how buttery would things be with four of these babies.
Rest assured that soon we'll have GPU's running holodecks.
