HG Controllers on making modded 360 controllers, and giving decent deals.
Head in the Game Controllers is a small company that actually produces modded Xbox 360 controllers to better suit players. How? Simple, move some of the face buttons around to the back so that instead of using just four of your ten fingers, another four can spread the playing joy around.
This isn't the first time we've seen this idea used, though originally it didn't go so well. The FPS Master Controller looked good and was made specifically for, well, FPS players, but the fad didn't catch on. Then again, it is an ugly beast.
HG's 360 controller looks much better based on the fact that it's already a 360 controller, so everyone already knows how it feels and functions. Add a few modifications to it, most of which are pretty discreet, and suddenly you've got a fully functional 8-finger gamepad.
Surprisingly, they aren't too expensive either. Everything retails for less than $100, and you can choose whichever mod's you want. Or, if you've got a few extra pretty pennies, you can always request special mods of your own. Looks like Ben Heck may have some competition.
