GDC: Intel Makes Dual Processor Mobo; Potential Dual Quad Cores

Intel announces at GDC their initiative to make dual CPU mobo's.
So having a quad core processor isn't enough, is it? No, its never enough. Nothing ever is. That's why hardware companies are going so far, because we allow them to squeeze every penny out of our sensitive need for too damn much.
Suffice to say, Intel just grew another tentacle to rap around our wallets with "Skulltrail", an 8-core compliant motherboard. That's the closest thing to the PS3's cell processor currently out on the commercial market. It's also got 4 PCIe 16x slots, meaning you could have a quad SLI/Crossfire setup
We'd be interested to see what the difference is in using one quad-core CPU, or even one duo core extreme, against using two on this board. Then ramp it up with 4 8800 Ultra's to see it destroy entire villages.
