The Razer Salmosa is officially announced, and available

Last week we told you about the Razer Salmosa, or at least what little there was to tell about it. Today is the first official word on the Salmosa, and we're seeing much more than expected. In fact, we're seeing that it will be available in the near future. The fact that it says "buy it now" is just the site.

So what makes it worth buying? Based on the tech specs listed on the Salmosa's personal website (speedofthelight), not much compared to other Razer mice. It has the standard 1800dpi 3G sensor, which is the big important thing, but what makes the Salmosa different are the smaller, less obvious things.

The cable is non-tangling, which is great if you read our recent review on the Razer Piranha headset. It also features the option to switch dpi settings from 800-1800 by the push of a button, very similar to the Logitech G9. It's also got an ambidextrous design, so surprise surprise, you 13% of the human race can actually use it without yelling expletives all day long.

How it runs...I'd surmise that it's a Razer mouse and will fare well against the competition. Perhaps not better than the Lachesis, their current king, but its the little things that make the world go round.
