As if the news between Intel and NVIDIA this last week hasn't been enough, today Intel decided to lay a bombshell for those who care: record earnings, due in part to "Record Server Microprocessor Revenue"  (lots of CPU sales, mainly for desktop servers), high gross margins and a 23% increase in operating income.

Considering that they've basically beaten the crap out of AMD this last year quarter, it's no surprise they're doing so well. But it looks like Intel isn't done with their quest to be in every PC, laptop and server, both for business, gamers and poor countries around the world, cellphones and basically everywhere. They're after videocards too, though as we've shown on a few occasions, NVIDIA still kicks it's ass.

If Intel keeps getting record earnings, NVIDIA won't have that lead for long.
