NVIDIA shows off two new CPU lines
Not intentionally, at least. The Inquirer, in spite for not being invited to NVIDIA's Gamers Day, decided that they'll cover it and not be restricted like everyone attending the event.
That's why today, they shot off some of the biggest news we could expect to see from NVIDIA thus far: hitting up the CPU marketplace. It isn't really surprising, considering their unpledged hatred for Intel that we've seen in the latest news, though they certainly have a far way to go.
The CSX 600 and 650 are said to run at 700-800MHz and support 1080p video at 24FPS. Not anything special, but it's a start. Give them a few years and they may just have the gusto to overtake AMD...at least, if AMD refuses to put up their A-game in the videocard market sometime this year.
