Rumor of Samsung integrating the first 360 hardware in one of their TV's
Following our recent story on the Xbox 360 hardware being openly distributed to 3rd party publishers, a tip came into Kotaku about Samsung's work on a TV with a built-in 360. According to the tip, the TV would be out as early as November in the US and Europe, and would "include four USB ports, 512 MB of hard drive space(?) and a "ring of light" style power button. It even came with a model number (XS40R360A) for maximum believability."
As Kotaku points out, the tipster failed to answer tough questions about the product, which is expected upon such big rumors, but considering that E3's only a few short weeks away, we'll be sure to find out what's going on.
However, if Microsoft is allowing 3rd parties to integrate 360 hardware in their products, this TV would certainly be a great start. Samsung and Microsoft have been known to have good relations, and they make a damn fine (if not expensive) TV as well. Should be a good pair, if real.
