Tests show that ATI Radeon cards run faster with Nvidia's PhysX installed
I don't quite know who would have thought to themselves, "hey, what happens if I put this PhysX software on my computer while running on a Radeon?" But they were so in the right.
Using a Radeon 3870 on 3D Mark Vantage, Orb's latest in ridiculous benchmarking systems (yes, it is harsher than Crysis in many a case), without the software it scored a high P3800. With it, P4262. Oh, the irony.
Now we should have a good time seeing if Nvidia see's this as an attack on their hardware, considering the PhysX software is free to download. Watch as future versions may be incompatible with ATI cards.
