PSP Not So Useless...In Japan

PSP sales surpass Nintendo's DS and Wii in Japan
It sounds like the story of Xbox a bit. Sony releases the PSP, a more powerful console, against The Nintendo, ruler of portable consoles, and doesn't make better sales at all. Seemingly ever. It's not doing poorly, and as Sony's first portable console, at least it's selling everywhere.
Then something happens. One game changes it all. Monster Hunter Portable 2nd Edition.
OK, it's not exactly like the Xbox, and probably only relatively close, but who the hell cares. Point is, the last six months the PSP has outsold Nintendo's portable and home console, taking in an epic 1.9 million units this year alone. The DS had 1.6 and the Wii had 1.7.
Now when the hell does the rest of the world get a kickass game for the PSP like that? Oh wait, I forgot a few. Chains of Olympus and Patapon fall in that category too...why the hell don't we have reviews of those two?
