Sony announces they have no plans for a price cut for the PS3 at Game Convention
We expected it at E3 and were disappointed. We though maybe they'd say something outside E3, because not too many publishers/developers were happy with the convention, but so far there's been no word. Game Convention was our last, best hope for a price cut on the most expensive of next-gen consoles.
Save up for this winter.
Sony has made it officially clear that they have no plans to drop the price of the PS3 this summer. It may be because there aren't any huge games set for release on the PS3 exclusively until this winter, or more specifically October for Socom: Confrontation, and BigLittlePlanet soon after.
Though I doubt it's going to get a price cut in the middle of October, because that would just be weird. Chances are it'll be sometime in November or, you know, around Christmas time. Because who gives presents on Halloween or Thanksgiving.
