It's bright, it's snazzy, it's all kinds of customizable, but is it any good?
It seems, these days, that every company and their mother has a gaming mouse under their belt. Microsoft has the Habu, Logitech has the G series (I use the Logitech G7, personally), Razer's entire line of mice is dedicated to gaming. Each iteration of gaming-specific peripheral has to do something to differentiate itself from the pack, or risk falling into obscurity. That said, it comes as no surprise that Saitek, being a leading manufacturer of gaming peripherals, has introduced a new, high tech gaming mouse into the fray. The question is whether this mouse, the GM3200, can really stand out against some pretty solid competition.

Appearance:
Whether you will like the look of the GM3200 will very much depend on whether you are a fan of the more flamboyant gaming peripherals, or whether you prefer more subtle, less gaudy hardware. Personally I am not a huge fan of bright colors and crazy patterns. Therefore, the appearance of the GM3200 does not particularly appeal to me. The abnormally bulbous main body of the mouse is composed of a bright red or blue scaly pattern, resembling lizard skin.
Sitting forward and center of the main body are the two matte black right and left finger buttons. These are surrounded by a color coordinated glowing band. Between the two mouse buttons is the scroll wheel, the resolution selection lever, and the profile selection button. To the left of these, in the colored, scaly area, are indicator lights for resolution and mode. The thumb area is a matte black, with a silver rocker switch. On the back end of the mouse is a Saitek logo that pulses between red, green, and blue.
Like I said earlier, the mouse is very... flashy. If you are a fan of the "I'm a gamer, hear me roar... with your eyes" school of gaming, then you will likely appreciate the wild color scheme of the GM3200. If, however, you prefer your peripherals a little more sleek and subtle, then you may want to look elsewhere.
