Compared to the price of other peripherals this piece is very affordable. For most gamers, it will be well worth the price.

For those of us who use the TrackIR, most of us have grown to love that silly little gadget. What could be better for the flight simulator enthusiast than making simple head movements to control viewing? The TrackIR has opened up avenues for some of us that we didn’t know we were missing. For those of you that don’t know what the TrackIR is, read our review.

TrackClip and how it attaches.

I’ve had a particular fondness for the TrackIR and NaturalPoint simply because since being introduced, NaturalPoint is always striving to improve their product by keeping up with game releases and releasing software upgrades to make the TrackIR work with the latest games.  It’s no secret that NaturalPoint has moved past just flight sims and onto other things such as racing games, certain first person shooters and lots of places in between.

The only drawback to using the TrackIR is the fact that the only way it can track your head movements is if you wear a baseball cap/visor with a Vector Pro attached, or put a reflective metal stick on your headphones. The problem with each of these is: the baseball cap can be uncomfortable and we don't always want to wear a hat to play a game. The sticker is more functional and less noticeable but restricts which axis of movement the TrackIR can track. There's always a trade off, precision or comfort, what will it be?

Kiss both of those issues goodbye, the problem has been solved. The TrackClip Pro is a precision device that attaches directly to whatever headset you're using. Not only does this kick the hat to the curb, but it is completely unnoticeable while in use. By using active LEDs the TrackClip makes your head tracking experience all that much more accurate. All while remaining visor free!
