A hardcore mousepad for hardcore mousers.

In the world of hardcore gaming, a player can use every advantage that he or she can get. With gaming-specific products becoming a hot item in the peripheral market, it should come as no surprise that a new category of mousing surfaces,aimed at the serious gamer, are being introduced.

Razer, being a company aimed specifically at the gaming market, has released a mousepad aimed at capitalizing on gamer's increasing demand for more precision control: The eXactMat.

When you think about style and "cool factor" mousepads are usually not the first thing that comes to mind. Aside from shape, size and graphics, there is not much variation in the design of mousing surfaces. Enter, the Razer eXactMat.

With a thin, silver, anodized aluminum border surrounding an oversized (330mm x 265mm), uniquely shaped, matte black face, the eXactMat is one of the cooler looking mousepads that I have seen. Of course I tend to like simplicity of design, so if you are looking for flashy graphics and crazy artwork, you may find the eXactMat a little too spartan. Still, even if you aren't necessarily impressed by its zen-like simplicity, by no means will you find it at all offensive to the eye.
