Wii Zapper

The good news is that the Wii Zapper isn't as heavy as it looks. Even a child will have no trouble holding it. Of course, it does come with a game: Link's Crossbow Training, which is quite addictive and almost worth the full $20 by itself. I also just stated the price of the Wii Zapper, which is just $20. Not a bad deal considering it comes packed with a game, and one that's much more polished than other pack-in titles such as Wii Sports and Wii Play.

The Wii Zapper probably isn't the gun peripheral that most Wii owners were hoping for, but if you're looking for some extra stability for shooting games and a pretty good demo title, the Zapper might be worth it. If your wallet's feeling a little light after this season's holiday shopping, you may want to hold off and see if Nintendo releases a re-designed Wii Zapper sometime in the future.

Highs
Fairly lightweight; improves aiming stability slightly; includes Link's Crossbow Training and still only $20.

Lows
Dual-handles slippery and uncomfortable; Nunchuck doesn't stay in place; kinda wimpy looking.

Final verdict
As a peripheral it's a flop, but with a fun pack-in game and a total cost of only $20, it's worth a purchase.
