As you can see, the X2 is very well equipped from a cable standpoint. The only major complaint that I had in this regard is the fact that this power supply does not support 8-pin PCI-e connections, therefore you may have to cobble together a connection from two other cables if you require this kind of output.
Nice backside...
Conclusion
For my uses, on my admittedly older computer, the Ultra X2 was fantastic. With its great looks, it will be at home in any rig, and its performance was quite reliable. If you think that you are going to be pulling a lot of power, or coming close to the max output of the unit, you may want to look further into long term stress tests, since some other review sited report problems, but from my experience the X2 was plenty reliable. When you combine this reliability with the fantastic modular cable system, the X2 is definitely a power supply to consider.
Highs
Quiet; Large fan for great air circulation; Excellent modular cable system; Slick appearance; Solid output; Lifetime warranty
Lows
No 8 pin PCI-e support; reported failures under demanding conditions
Final verdict
A nice looking, solid performer, however other reviews have reported some problems. Still, in my experience, a great unit.
