Saitek's Cyborg 5.1 falls short, but still goes farther than most.

Saitek is the world's second largest gaming peripheral producer currently, and they recently started a new brand of products under the codename "Cyborg." With the ideal of creating a line of products that function so well and feel so flawless to the user, the Cyborg line is meant to be a set of extensions from gamers (and anyone really) so that it gives the most satisfaction with the least meddling. The less you notice it's there, the better.

With a set of headphones, nothing can be more true, especially if they are over-the-ear styled. The 5.1's, aptly named simply that, follow this rule of thumb. We decided to enter our review slightly jaded, so that Saitek's plot wouldn't foil our outlook on the headset.
