Not quite as useful but still very cool are the Nyko charger grips. These little beauties fasten to the sides of the PSP, enabling the player to hold it much like a Dual Shock controller. Using the same inner workings as the charger case, the grips also extend the PSP battery life by about five hours.



The charger grip handles are comfortable at first but, for me, made it a little harder to control the PSP while playing some games. Although they are quite like the familiar design of the Dual Shock, Nyko should have remembered that the PSP is NOT a Dual Shock and the control scheme is different. Still, they have value and I can see someone else being more pleased with them than I am.

Since the PSP recently dropped in price to $199.99 it makes sense to pick up some extra gear if you decide to buy one. For their intended purposes – especially when it comes to battery life – these products from Nyko are definitely worthwhile.
