The card comes bundled with Audacity, an audio recording program that is fairly easy to use and provides a good number of features.

But it is not the bundled software that will cause you to want this card. I may even go so far as to say that it is not the audio quality that will cause you to make this purchase, although the quality is certainly more than satisfactory for most gamers. So what is it that I found most appealing?

It is the 8 channel audio output. For 30 bucks, this card turns your system into a 7.1 audio behemoth, with a 10-band equalizer, support for karaoke, and 24bit/96KHz audio playback. The card has the standard range of inputs - mic, stereo in, front out, surround out, rear out, center/sub out, coax in, and the internal CD audio and aux connectors. The card also support Dolby EX and DTS 6.1/7.1 DVD playback.
