PlayGear Stealth

For twenty dollars the PlayGear Stealth is a very capable set of earbud headphones, perfect for the PSP.

The latest addition to the Logitech line of PSP specific peripherals are the PlayGear Stealth earphones. These small, 9mm neodymium earbuds sit unobtrusively inside your ear and are intended to transport easily for sound on the go.

Appearance

There is actually not a whole lot to the PlayGear Stealth as far as appearance goes. A black chord leads into silver plastic with black gel earpieces. They are so simple that they really don’t lend themselves to any type of style review. Suffice to say that they match nicely with the PSPs design, and leave it at that.

Performance

I was actually pleasantly surprised with the quality of sound that is put out of these inexpensive and tiny earphones. Highs are crisp and clear, although they border on tinny. Midrange comes across decently, as well. Bass and low-range frequencies are surprisingly full, although only when the earpieces are seated properly. I had significant issues getting the earpieces correctly inserted, and once they were I found that they were easily shaken free.
