Another couple of features that bear mentioning are the two integrated USB ports on the top of the G15, and the “Game Mode” switch, which deactivates the windows key when flipped. It really isn’t all that necessary, since most people rarely hit that key by mistake, but isn’t it nice to know that if you did, it wouldn’t work? Yeah, I know it is.
Now for the bad: One of the most distinctive features of the G15, and definitely one of the offerings Logitech is using as hype material, is the integrated, flip-up LCD that sits atop the unit. On paper, this is a very cool feature. When gaming, this screen can be programmed to show any number of in-game stats, and potentially graphics. When out of game the panel cycles through CPU and RAM usage, and Time, Date, and a message waiting indicator. The problem is that the reality doesn’t live up to the hype. The major problem here is support.
