Conclusions
If you’re looking for storage capacity, the 7200.10 is your drive. Unless you’re running an enterprise server setup, the mammoth hard drive has enough room on it to keep anyone happy for a long time and it runs fast enough to make it a worthwhile upgrade if you’re looking for a new drive. Sure, there are faster drives out there (including SATA options running at 10,000 RPM), but the increased capacity is a great selling point. That said, if you’re running an older rig, you might want to take a look at the rest of your hardware, especially your motherboard, to see if it’s worth investing the money in a new hard drive since hard drive speed is rarely the main bottleneck in older systems.
