Logitech G11 Gaming Keyboard

Conclusion

Ultimately, whether or not you will enjoy the G11 depends on whether or not you will take advantage of all that it has to offer. There are several unique features that differentiate it from the competition; The “G” keys can be very useful to MMORPGers, and are super easy to use; the game switch and integrated USB ports are neat little bonuses; and the backlit keys are undeniably cool, although not unique to Logitech. Unfortunately some of the G11s potential charm and utility is lost in the size and cost of the unit. Still, I was very pleased with the overall performance of the keyboard and its robust support software. If you plan on taking advantage of the gaming specific features of the G11 then the $70 price tag may very well be worth it.

Highs
Awesome 3-level backlit keypad; 18 macro keys with an on-the-fly macro record button; 3 “Mode” keys allow for different function assignment of macro keys; Game mode switch disables windows key; 2 integrated USB ports.

Lows
Larger than normal footprint; Macro keys are a little hard to get too quickly; Feet on wrist rest peel off easily; Over time, paint on keys wears off; High price point.

Final verdict
The G11 is a sweet peripheral, offering loads of customization and some very cool game specific features, but an oversize footprint, a higher price point and keys that rub off over time detract somewhat from its overall appeal.
