Operation
Once you turn things on, the Lexa really shines. First, there’s the part where the case literally does shine: ice blue LEDs light up the front of the case and two of the case fans, giving the Lexa an unearthly, sci-fi glow that looks really cool. The fans are very quiet, just loud enough to know that everything is running and keep the whole system somewhere between 40 and 45 degrees Celsius (according to the sensors on the front) when running over a 4 hour period.
I mentioned LAN parties before and portable gaming is definitely an area where NZXT strives to please. Along with the attractive blue LEDs and the viewing window to show off your system’s gear, the Lexa comes with a carrying strap that allows you to pick up the light aluminum case and carrying it around, either by a sturdy handle grip or strapped across your shoulder. The strap wraps quickly and easily around the entire case and locks into place, providing a secure hold. There’s a pocket built into the strap so you can carry peripherals as necessary.
Conclusion
All in all, if you're a gamer looking for a flashy case that's easy to carry around, the Lexa is definitely worth a look. Although the case design itself suffers from some design flaws that do not make it the easiest case to build a system into, once you’ve finished setting up, the case looks great and gives any area a high-tech look. The NZXT Lexa definitely has my recommendation.
