The really amazing thing is the fact that with this particular keyboard you are allowed unlimited simultaneous key presses at the same time as opposed to standard keyboards that only allow for 3 maximum (on average) key presses. This means that making complicated key bindings for delicate moves in-game are very obtainable.

Sha-bam!

There are 10 fully customizable macro keys, 2 rows of 5 placed vertically along the outer edges of the keyboard that can be specifically designated to perform precise functions. This means that you can designate your “R” key to eject from your jet, deploy your parachute, equip your sidearm and flare your parachute. All with one key stroke! It even allows you to program up to 200ms of delay in between the keystrokes. Brilliant!

The profile managing software that comes with the keyboard is incredibly easy to use and with some tinkering you can customize your keyboard to work with any game and to act however you want. For each game you can swap 2 different profiles with the simple press of the “PROFILE” button.

The Razer Configurator.

The keyboard stores all of this information within its 32KB of onboard memory. All in all you have the ability to store up to 100 customized profiles, a truly amazing idea, because after all we are talking about a keyboard! Unlike other keyboards such as the Z-Board, it doesn’t simply map out which keys are which. Instead it allows you to designate what keys will perform what functions.

The ability to totally rearrange your keyboard layout is an absolute blessing, not just in terms of how it functions, but you can actually remove the keys and interchange them with other keys by using the key removal tool provided. In essence, you can revamp the keyboard to something totally new. Each gamer will have a different keyboard configuration than another with the exact same board depending on how that person chooses to set it up.
