SteelPad 5L will add that extra Umph! to your gaming setup.

SteelPad 5L is a unique mouse pad featuring the durability and stability of a hard plastic, as well as the softness and smoothness of a cloth mouse pad. This product is part of the SteelSeries line of gaming products. It stands out from the rest of the pads they supply because of its image on the top, which defies the standard black top. The SteelPad 5L is composed of five different layers, each layer contributing to the overall precision and feel of the pad. This pad from Steel Series uses these five layers to create a mouse pad that feels and performs much more precisely and efficiently than the rest.

The first layers consists of plastic coating on a cloth material, utilizing the strength and durability of plastic and the feel of quality cloth. The middle layer is composed of specially designed soft rubber foam to provide the feeling of softness. The bottom layers provide stability, as a highly durable plastic layer guarantees the shape of the pad, followed by small soft rubber elements offering complete non-slip steadiness.

The pad is 380 x 280 mm (14,9 x 11 in) and 4 mm (0.15 in) in height.

Five distinct layers provide everything from comfort to stability.

When I first feasted my eyes on this beast, as was overwhelmed with its size. At around 15 x 11 inches, this pad will cover all of the space those other puny pads left behind. Usually, I have a problem with using regular mouse pads. My mouse is always falling clumsily off the side, usually resulting in an impending death by headshot. This pad does away with this problem by 1) having ample space to move your mouse around, and 2) using a layer on the bottom of the pad just for stability.  This feature, though subtle, is a huge advantage over other pads. It uses a special method of placing non-slip rubber pieces on the bottom of the pad to prevent sliding and enhance stability. It looks sort of like lots of short pasta was rubberized and placed on the floor and then flattened.

The bottom layer allows the pad to be as stable as a statue.
