Performance
Where the Talismoon Evolve Xbox 360 controller face plate ultimately fails is in the quality of manufacturing. First, replacing the face of the 360 controller is a pain anyway, but with substandard instructions, incorrect tool sizes and no readily available online support, the process really becomes a chore. In fact, "substandard" does not do the instructions justice. With absolutely ZERO text, and simplistic illustrations, I found that I had to go online and visit mod forums to see how to properly disassemble and reassemble the controller. Yes, there are diagrams, but they are fairly rudimentary, and do not warn of problems you might encounter (such as all of the buttons falling out when you remove the face.)
While the provided t8 torx wrench worked adequately, the small screwdriver for removing the D pad was sized incorrectly, forcing me to use my own screwdriver. Once the faceplate is in position, installing the screws that hold the controller together is fairly difficult due to the fact that the holes on the Evolve are not threaded, forcing the screws to self-tap. After the laborious process of installation, the Evolve performs as expected. The plastic is sturdy, although it lacks the texture of the orginal face, so the grip is not quite as good. Still, if you like the look of a chrome, or green, or transparent or...cow, then the Evolve may be an option to consider.

Conclusion
Ultimately the Talismoon Evolve Xbox 360 controller faceplate just does not provide the quality that most consumers would like in a modification product. Difficult instructions, incorrectly sized tools, and below average construction force the buyer to consider whether the trouble of installation is worth the outcome. Personally, I'll stick to the original, single color controller, and save myself any further frustration trying to install what ultimately is an underwhelming modification.
